Service Description

Join us for an Autumn Equinox Sound Bath! Facilitated by musician and sound therapist Sarah Pigion. We all know the power music has to move us in some way. It is a vehicle for self-expression, learning, a feeling, a memory, a thought. Part of what makes music so powerful is its essence as a series of sonic frequencies. Everything at its core is a vibration, and a vibration is a sound. Whether audible or inaudible, sound ripples through our bodies, magnified by the fact that we are made of mostly water, a natural sonic amplifier. Sound as vibrational medicine is a powerfully effective yet noninvasive healing modality, which can restore wellness and function at a cellular level. Sound waves are an organizing principle that entrain our physical, emotional, and mental bodies from discord into harmony. The body has an innate healing mechanism, which responds instinctually to certain frequencies that are needed to come back into balance. Participating in a sound bath with your awareness, breath, and intention is a beautiful way to recharge your system alongside others in a safe, non-judgemental space. Participants will lie comfortably on mats with blankets and listen to a series of healing tones played on a variety of healing instruments including Tibetan singing bowls, crystal singing bowls, frame drum, chimes, tuning forks, and the voice. We invite you to discover the healing potential of sound as a tool for wellness, body awareness, and mindfulness. We look forward to sharing this modality with you!
